Writing for Theatre is a two year training programme for aspiring Palestinian playwrights.
Organised by the British Council in partnership with the Royal Court Theatre in London and the A.M Qattan Foundation, this project aims to develop the writing techniques of the playwrights, giving them guidance and support during the process of writing their contemporary and original plays.
Since the project started in 2013, a number of well known British playwights as well as Elyse Dodgson, the Executive Director of The Royal Court Theatre, have visited Palestine as part of this programme, providing excellent international networking opportunities with the UK and other countries where the British Council operates.
