In response to the rapidly increased demand for online English language teaching and assessment, the British Council has launched ‘English Online’ in Palestine, a global digital platform for adult English language learners.

‘English Online’ has been expertly designed to improve students’ English language skills, enabling them to customise their learning, choose their class schedule and join interactive live classes. The classes are led by British Council teachers and consist of up to ten students from all over the world.

The platform offers 55-minute online and interactive courses and personalised study plans, designed around learners’ needs. Martin Daltry, Director British Council, said ‘I am delighted we are launching ‘English Online’ as part of our digital transformation in Palestine.  English language learners can access ‘English Online’ from wherever they are and improve their language skills 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Upon completion of each theme pack, the student is awarded with a British Council certificate of completion.’

Developed by the British Council English language experts and mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), ‘English Online’ offers an integrated learning programme from levels A2 to C1.  Learners can take the free level test with ‘English Online’ to determine their current level.
